You don't really need to understand a painting...it might sometimes just be soothing and beautiful and so you like it.
Also, don't go bisirk with your imagination, it might just be that a girl and a guy are making out or something. I think you miss the obvious in trying hard to not understand ;)
the guy is dark , that means the whole romance is a sham, he just wants to make out with her. and the the human torch might be a symbolic way of saying 'he is aroused' :D

don't really get these art thingies......it looks to me like a dude is strangling a woman whose gown is falling down thereby exposing her ass
on closer inspection there seems to be another dude...trying to jump or fly...kinda like the Human Torch of the Fantastic Four
